EMU Car-shed at Ranaghat in lieu of Majerhat has been sanctioned vide Railway board’ s L/No. 2004/M(W)/964/277 dated 15/07/2005. The work was appeared as item no. 390 of pink book of 08/09 at a total cost of 26.36 cores. New car-shed at Ranaghat has been proposed for a holding of 24 no. rakes in two phases. In phase one 12 nos. of EMU rakes in 12 coach formation with the shed facilities will be accommodated. Construction work of the car-shed at RHA started on 18.08.07.
